Champion Autism Network To Be Featured on NBC Nightly News
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Champion Autism Network (CAN) and its executive director, Becky Large, to be featured on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, also interviewed for the segment.
"We're very proud of the Champion Autism Network (CAN) and the work they've done in
Horry County," said Dean, "From the Airport Quiet Room – which is one of the first of its kind in the U.S. – to Savannah's playground, they've worked hard to shine a light on the importance of inclusion. Becky Large and CAN have done an extraordinary job of bringing a sense of "community for ALL." Their example of persistence in creating awareness is not only great for us, but it's also great for communities throughout our region and beyond. We couldn't be more proud to see this national exposure."
