MBACC Announces Hiring of Lori Lampo

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB announced the hiring of Lori Lampo to the position of meetings & convention sales manager in the group sales division.

Lori joins the organization with more than 10 years of experience in oceanfront hotel operations and group sales. As a member of the Burroughs and Chapin marketing team, Lori focused on driving group business for Broadway at the Beach. She served as director of sales for Red Roof Inn & Suites, as well as Destination Cinema Myrtle Beach and Grand Canyon IMAX 3D theaters. Most recently, Lori led the sales and marketing team for WonderWorks Myrtle Beach during her 7-year tenure as senior sales and marketing manager.

“Not only does Lori bring a wealth of experience to the organization, but her previous involvement with our Myrtle Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau group sales and advertising/publicity committees gives her a background with our organization that is invaluable to the execution of her duties,” said Karen Riordan, president & CEO.

Lampo also currently serves as vice chairperson for Coastal Network Cooperative, an organization dedicated to increasing group travel to the Myrtle Beach area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Coastal Carolina University while working full time in the Myrtle Beach hospitality tourism industry.
