Leadership Grand Strand Announces Class XL
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Twenty-nine business and community members were recently selected for Leadership Grand Strand Class XL. The 10-month program that begins with an orientation on Aug. 1 explores topics such as Grand Strand history, tourism and economic development, business, education, criminal justice, human services, government and the arts. Leadership Grand Strand is sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
In its 40 years of service to the community, Leadership Grand Strand has tackled real community needs as part of each class’s graduation requirements. Each member is required to do 75 total project hours that will be split between Habitat for Humanity, Horry County Schools, New Directions, the Ann DeBock Leadership Award nomination project, personal hours and an initiative with the City of Myrtle Beach to support downtown redevelopment projects.
