Marina Inn At Grande Dunes

The Marina Inn is perfectly located on a main road in Myrtle Beach that provides easy access to everything, including the beach and all local attractions, without the extra cost (and risks) of being right on the beach. All the grounds and amenities were fantastic!

My room with a single king bed was spacious and beautiful, including the bathroom. The view from the balcony over the small river behind the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The room was quiet, comfortable, and had both excellent internet and a very responsive (and intuitive) central heating thermostat. Room service was quick and the food was excellent.

Notably, from the moment my sister and I arrived at the front door, we felt like everyone was very intentional about taking excellent care of us. Scott was a super friendly valet, and Sam took great care of our luggage and gave us lots of very helpful information, answering every question we had quickly and accurately. We honestly felt like they became fast friends, and we chatted with them every time we went in and out of the hotel. Laura at the check-in desk was also extremely helpful and friendly, and she likewise became an immediate friend! Megan and Caitlyn provided wonderful service and conversation (when they had time) in the Waterscapes breakfast restaurant, which had delicious food at very reasonable prices. The manager Connie was also extremely friendly and attentive. I would give 10 stars for the service here if I could!!!

I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay. I will certainly be back here the next time I need a hotel in Myrtle Beach!!!

We stayed at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes for a wedding weekend. We were so impressed with the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The Marina Inn is beautiful and the service was great. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. I recommend this resort to everyone who enjoys elegance and great customer service . Very kid friendly/ family friendly. Beach is near by and a shuttle is available. Airport is 20 min drive. Excellent location I would recommend this to everyone. We stayed in the suites with our family. Wonderful views. Cannot wait to visit again.
Ps: every single staff member at this resort is amazing, they go out of their way to make sure all the guest are taken care of.

The first time staying here and probably it the last. We reserved a last minute room for an overnight visit. The staff at check in was very friendly. We had a nice room with a single king bed and balcony view of the Intercoastal Waterway. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The walk in shower had a rainfall shower head that could have used a bit more pressure. The best part of the room was actually the balcony with the sounds of birds and not much else. For a later dinner we ate outside by the pool and the food was very good. The server was a young man who was very friendly and polite. He made the evening fun.
Unfortunately, we went inside afterwards due to a massive thunderstorm. We then went to the indoor bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks. The bartender was also very friendly. All in all a nice atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend the hotel. It's not on a main road, so you don't have a lot of noise nor a lot of foot traffic like you would next to the beach, but within a few minutes you can easily drive to the busier parts. The calmness of the hotel is a big plus. Also, the friendliness of the entire staff is wonderful.

First visit...valet and front staff were excellent. Warm knowledgeable and inviting. Made a few room service requests at the front desk. The issues were not immediately addressed but after a second reminder, they staff responded. Good room service from hotel restaurant.

Poor internet and phone service in my room area. I stayed on lower level, next time I will get a higher room for a Better view.

Furniture and carpet are outdated but the room was pretty clean.

Definitely returning for the views and the service.

2nd visit, 1st time was in main building and enjoyed that area much better than the marina tower, 5th floor....we have a junior suite with fire place that wasn't working, and weird, but we had a wall that looked over the marina with nice views, but our corner patio faced the parking lot and Ruth's Chris steakhouse.
Exterior entrance seems odd for a suite, room is dated but " nice", cleanliness ( im picky) I'm giving a 8/10.......room condition a 7/10....check in process 10/10....pricing ( it's a cold Feb. day) 8/10...
I would return, but reccomend main building so you don't have to go out in the cold to get to store, restaurants, pool and such...

We enjoyed staying at Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. My sister and her husband reserved adjoining suites for the four of us. They wanted to show us the best of Myrtle Beach. The balconies had spectacular views. The sunset was gorgeous. The employees were very helpful and courteous. The beds were comfortable. We highly recommend Marina Inn at Grande Dunes.

We traveled by boat to the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes.

I paid over a month in advance to reserve a boat slip online. While they received my reservation and payment, we were told to just find a spot to tie up near the boat rental area. I disliked the lack of a dedicated slip and next to rental boats. No information was immediately given about dock access, so we had to walk up to the dockmaster to get gate codes.

I was not impressed with any of the food or coffee options on site. We rented the two-story penthouse suite. Our accommodations were adequate yet tired, run-down, and not exceptionally clean. I did not use the pools or hot tub, as the water looked cloudy.

I would not choose to return here. Next time I will research nicer hotel/resort options on the ICW.

Stayed here in July. I used to love staying here years ago. The room wasn't very clean, it was old and run down, the bedding was stretched out, even when they made the bed you could see the white part of the bed skirt, pretty gross. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

This place is infested with cockroaches and the staff are extremely rude. I came on this vacation with my husband for the first time since our honeymoon and will never come back. Sherry and Jim called the cops on me because I complained about the roaches.
