This restaurant doesn't look very inviting when you pass by or even when you walk inside but it has a lot of traffic, especially during lunchtime. Since it was midday and we were hungry and thirsty we decided to give it a shot.
The corned beef sandwich was part of the "build your sandwich" and allowed me to get exactly what I wanted on it. The slices of corned beef were flavorful and the thickness was just right for me; not too thick and not too thin. I had it made with American cheese and spicy mustard. It was delicious! The pub chips were good too, very well seasoned and still warm. The drinks are refillable so I had my share of diet cola. There were plenty of other tempting sandwiches under their "Jumbo Sandwiches", Premium Deli Sandwiches", and "Dagwood's Specialties". My wife had the Philly Cheesesteak and said it was delicious.
All in all, this is a very good place to pop in to have a great sandwich for lunch.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 20, 2023
Looks like a local bar with a sandwich shop next to it. We had the loaded nachos which were a little salty towards the bottom, but still good. The Northern sandwich I ordered as quite tasty. It was a mix of hot pastrami, corned beef, coleslaw and thousand island dressing. It was the closest thing I've had to a Canadian smoked meat sandwich. Delicious. Definitely give it a try. You won't regret it.

Went here for a quick sandwich lunch. Upon entering you are immediately sent towards the right to order your lunch. Though this place does not look like a NY deli it looks more like a casual restaurant with bar.
The staff member was nice enough to let me look at the menu and ask questions. I ordered 2 turkey sandwiches which came with sides. I got one side of chips and one of French fries which cost a bit more. The French fries were so crispy and warm when i ate them. They were some of the best fries ive had. The sandwich were pretty decent. It could have used a sauce on it to give it more flavor but overall it was good.
The staff memebers were nice and quick and very helpful if you have any questions.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jan 16, 2023
Been coming here for about 20 years. Used to go to Bumsteads to watch the Redskins I mean commanders...I get the chicken melt every single time so I can't comment on too many other dishes! I was super happy when the NMB location opened. Every time I'm back in town I'll def be there. Good work guys, my man has become a big fan as well.

Great local dive!!!
Staff was fun and friendly! Food was perfect!! I had the Cuban...it was the best I've ever had. Loved how they switched the big hoagie bread with a flattened ciabatta. My spouse had the chicken Philly...said it was bursting with flavor and the bread was the best she'd ever had. We will be making this a regular stop for us!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 18271906Jul 29, 2022
A pleasant and delicious surprise for lunch on our way to the airport. I looked up lunch spots for a quick bite, and Dagwood's Deli had great reviews. When you walk in, you can be overwhelmed with the menu and the walk up ordering, but no one makes you feel rushed. My husband and I split a Cuban sandwich, no cheese, with a side of pasta salad, and we added another side of sweet potato fries...it also was free cookie day!!! Everything tasted great, and it was a fun atmosphere with lots of TVs. You could tell it is the place for locals and vacationers to get a great lunch.

The food was very good, didn't get what I ordered but that was not the kitchen's fault. Service was by far one of the worst I ever had, maybe because football was on. Tables came in after us, got drinks before US, ordered before US & eat before us. I don't know what to say. Opening weekend of NCAA football, places was busy & electric.

So good! This place has a long standing repair around and I can see why. Fresh, delicious and consistent.
I had a turkey bacon wrap and it was very good. Filling, and freshly prepared. Pleasant, patient staff. Love the old school vibe too. Convenient to boardwalk and the areas attractions.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christie F.Calloway On The Green, Raleigh, NC65351Jan 14, 2024
Our group tried a range of sandwiches and a salad. Everyone was pleased with their individual choice. The bread is so fresh and soft. The food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. My family loved the seating - it's unusual to see rolling chairs in a restaurant. If we lived in the area, I would go back again and again. I will definitely put this on my list to visit again next time I'm in MB!
