Nice! I booked a two hour session with Eddie for myself and three brothers. Eddie did a terrific job with four very different swing issues. He was very helpful and worked with us at our pace.
Nice to be around. He laughed when we laughed and seem to appreciate our "brotherly" teasing.
I expect the golf school is a good investment.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris H.Myrtle Beach, SC01Oct 3, 2023
I cannot say enough good things about Ted, Stefany, CJ and the rest of the staff at The Classic Swing Golf School. I attended the 3 day golf school last week and it was fantastic. I told Ted the first day that my driver swing was a huge issue for me. He said they don't typically get to the driver until day 3 but he broke away with me on day 2 and started working with me on my driver swing. Ted immediately identified my swing issue and made sure I understood the issue as well as drills to fix it. I had been to 2 other pros/teachers in the last year and neither of them identified my real issue. I am extremely happy with the results.
The class covered everything from putting, chipping, pitching and bunkers to irons and driver but also touched on mental preparedness before you address the ball and throughout your round. They focused on practicing like you play and play like you practice. They also did a full club fitting and current bag analysis for all students. This was very informative and there was zero pressure to buy clubs from them. If you are on the fence about this school...don't be. Absolutely worth it and the best bang for the buck.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 11, 2020
Attended the 3 Day School in June. Ted is top notch! He is able to break down your swing. Then give you drills with simple, easy to understand instruction to practice and work on. It's now October and with trusting, practicing and implementing everything Ted said in my instructional videos. It improved my golf game 100% and I ended up winning my golf league championship today. Thank you Ted and Classic Swing! Paul and I will be back in 2021 to learn more!!!

It's hard to know where to begin when everything was so great. This was my first golf school that I have ever attended. I'm a mid range handicap golfer and I take a lot of lessons with a local pro. I'm also a past US National Team Coach, albeit in a totally different sport, so I really appreciate great coaching.
Ted and his assistant Stephanie were absolutely fabulous in the ways that they communicated with the students. It was amazing to watch how they conducted the classes with a mid-handicap golfer as well as a lady that had never held a golf club in the same class. It worked well!
They didn't just tell us what to do. They explained the logic behind ever action and the consequences of not following those actions. I gained a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of my game. Unfortunately, they also changed a lot of facets of my game which are taking a bit of adjustment now that I am back on my home course. I wanted to flight all of my irons much better; I was hitting too many line drives before. Well now, I'm getting tremendous height and distance from my irons that are resulting in many shots that are "too much club" or a "towering shot that is a bit off line". Consequently, I not yet posting better scores, but clearly that will come once I learn to gauge and control my new found power.
I'm already looking forward to returning for an Advanced class! Any golfer looking for a great value in any aspect of their golf game should attend Classic Swing Golf.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Edward P.Bel Air, MD02Jul 16, 2021
Spent three days at the Classic Swing Golf school with Ted, and Stephanie. Really enjoyed our time at Legends, a beautiful facility in Myrtle Beach. Loved Ted's approach to golf--educational, comprehensive, and definitely fun!
Will definitely be back when I need a tune-up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark F.Kensington, MD06Feb 20, 2022
I have been through three levels and there has been significant progress in all aspects of my game as a result. I've gone from low 90s to averaging low 80s, all while being over 60. Highly recommend this over other clinics that were 5-6 times more expensive. Better results and less cost. By the time I did level 3 last fall the technology, training aids and insights were so much better than the other schools I've attended.

If you are looking to learn how to golf or improve your golf game, then check out one of the most affordable with great instructors it's Classic Swing Golf School. Why? Ted Frick, the owner is an awesome instructor. He makes learning golf fun and exciting. Who knew about the trajectory of a golf ball and it's all science and physics compounded with momentum.
Was here for their three day Golf School. Ted made us feel welcomed and worked with each of us throughout the three days. It was a 3 to 1 ratio (students to Instructor). When school was done, we headed over to Legends Golf Course and did 9 holes. Ted gave us tip on where to tee off so would no get stressed out.
What I loved the most was out in the golf course and getting instructions to perfect the game. Ed- another instructor came out and worked with us for 2 hours on course instruction. Man Ed was a big help. Applying what we learned in class and out on the golf course. Still need lots of work on my swing- Yeah, have to play more 9-18 holes and practice.
I got to work on my swing and got lots of instruction. Heck, we all got video tapped and he reviewed what areas we needed work on.
Will be back in February or next Summer to continue with Level 2. Wonder when they give out diplomas? After Level 3. LOL...Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Phil G.Milwaukee, WI21716Aug 9, 2020
I participated in the three day golf school with Ted Frick. Dude! I have the tools to become a scratch golfer. Ted's instruction is fabulous. He's also a great easy going guy. Cannot recommend the classic swing more. Doesn't matter your ability level. In fact, if you've never swung a club this is a great place to start. Ted teaches you how to do it the right way.

I took a three day class at Classic swing. This was my first time taking golf lessons and did not really know what to expect. I'm a very amateur 20 hcp golfer and thought that the clinic was going to be full of golfers who were looking to refresh their understanding of the game and that I would be looked at as "Why is that guy here?".
Turns out that Ted, Kyle, Eddy, Mark and Stef were just awesome. They were great at communicating skills and techniques helping me become a better, more educated golfer!
This golf school/clinic is THE place you should go to. I was very impressed and felt my golf game elevated from taking the class.
It was fun as the clinic also included breakfasts for three days and two rounds of golf at the Legends courses, I played Heathland and the rather challenging Moorland courses. The latter had Mark from the golf school join us and provide us with instruction and course management tips as we played. This clinic was well worth the cost and included a fitting so that you knew what was in your bag, and what changed you should make to help your golf game.
I also made some great golfing friends there and definitely will be back.
All in all, EXCELLENT!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Elle C.Bethesda, MD0156May 20, 2017
When my husband asked the golf coach at his Wash DC area high school (which has three recent graduates entering Division 1 college golf teams in Fall '17) where to go to golf school; the coach said, "Classic Swing". So we booked the 3-day school. We did not know what to expect, yet had decently-high expectations based on the recommendation. Our experience was far greater than our expectations.
My husband is a pretty good golfer (+12) and I am not quite a beginner, but have not played for years. We both received a lot of value and improved significantly over the three days despite our skill levels being so different. The school is the fundamentals, but applied specifically to your individual needs. We found Ted and his coaching team of Eddie, Steffanie and Matt to be knowledgeable, patient, good-natured and fun. We learned a lot and kind of fell in love all over again with golf because they got us in a position to hit clean shots and repeat them!
We had such a good experience that we drove home to Wash DC to take care of things and then returned one week later to take three private lessons with Ted, which turned out to be so much more. They have a great learning facility. Our lessons were from 2-4pm each day, but we would arrive at 10am. They would set us up with drills, check in on us along the way, and then we'd have the private lesson. It was more like six hours of lessons, not just two. Finally, at the end of they day, they would arrange for us to play one of Legend's courses (thanks to the school's priority relationship) at tee times with no one around us so we wouldn't feel rushed. We could hit multiple balls and shots on each hole to apply our new lessons learned.
Regarding Ted, we just now read the rest of the reviews. We agree!! He was born to teach golf! It was so nice to be in a place to benefit from his unique knowledge that he customizes and simplifies, and with a disciplined style that ensured that we focused on what we needed to improve upon, while still making us laugh. We immensely enjoyed all our time and interactions with him. My husband is now returning in two weeks to take more private lessons with Ted.
In sum, at the outset, one of our concerns was that because our skills are so different that we as a couple would not have a good time (i.e. positive for one, but not for the other). While it is a school with a set curriculum and process, it was highly customized to our individual needs and allowed us both to improve significantly.
We now view that we will be at Classic Swing a couple times a year for the next decade because of Ted and the whole set-up that allows us to have fun and get better! In our view, it is well worth the investment.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
