Congratulations are in order for David Royce, who has been promoted to Lending Quality & Appraisal Specialist. This is the second promotion for David, who joined the credit union team as a Contact Center Service Representative in 2018. David's commitment to providing exceptional member service allowed him to be promoted to a loan closer on the Contact Center Support Team shortly after he was hired. As a loan closer, he encouraged great synergy within his team and created a positive work environment for his coworkers. Contact Center Support Manager Chrissy Carroll says David has exceptional attention to detail and "is a consistent go-to for his peers because of his vast knowledge." Additionally, he took new Contact Center employees under his wing to help them transition into their new roles. David was a President's Club award recipient in both 2021 and 2022 for his superb attention to member engagement. He has also been recognized by the SC Federal Foundation as a Volunteer of the Year. David shares the credit union vision by volunteering for community events several times each year. To prepare for this opportunity, David focused on his career development by having ongoing meetings with the Talent Acquisition team, taking advantage of shadowing opportunities, and maintaining constant communication with the managers of his new role. It demonstrates that while we all wear the same shade of blue each day, each one of us comes to the workplace with a unique combination of life experiences. At South Carolina Federal, our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) efforts are more than skin deep. They are a critical part of our organization's success. We are proud to announce the promotion of Mark Widener to Mortgage Sales Manager. 👏🏼 Mark began his credit union career in 2014 as a Relationship Specialist. He was selected into the prestigious Palmetto Premium program just a year later. In 2017, Mark joined our Mortgage team as a Loan Officer and has consistently been one of our top originators year after year. SVP of Lending Services David Dulaney says that anyone who meets Mark will "quickly recognize his calm demeanor and level headedness." These characteristics enable Mark to swiftly guide our members through what can sometimes be an anxiety-filled and emotional process.
