The Rice Museum tells the story of 18th and 19th century South Carolina rice plantations with dioramas, artifacts, maps and other exhibits. It includes other local history exhibits including the Browns Ferry Vessel, a colonial-built river freighter that sank in the Black River around 1730. The Rice Museum also features an art gallery and gift shop.
