The Founders of the Seacoast Artists Guild of South Carolina were very specific about what they hoped to accomplish. The Mission Statement in the By-laws stated: “The Guild is dedicated to advancing excellence in the visual arts through teaching, exhibits, workshops and special events. The Guild seeks to stimulate increased awareness of art and its benefits throughout the area and in the state of South Carolina. To date we have been successful in meeting the objectives set forth almost 12 years ago. We have been fortunate to maintain a continuous growth of highly skilled and talented members. The sharing of skills and techniques in order to advance our members capabilities sets Seacoast apart from other organizations. We will continue to meet the expectations of our Founding Members by expanding the education programs focused on developing and nurturing young artists-to-be through training programs and the sponsorship of art scholarships. Our focus on charitable causes will be continued and expanded. Providing an awareness of the arts to our communities and providing our members with opportunities to display their talents remains paramount to the Seacoast Artists Guild.
