TSUNAMI COMING TO MYRTLE WAVES WATER PARK SUMMER 2016
New Surf Ride to Open This Summer at South Carolina’s Largest Water Park
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (April 8, 2016) – Myrtle Waves Water Park, South Carolina’s largest water park, is gearing up for the 2016 season and inviting guests to come surf the “Tsunami”, that will give you a taste of the surfing lifestyle. This FlowRider® provides a fun, safe platform where young and old alike can enjoy the thrill of riding a wave. During the day it will be part of the water park for boogie board riding only. During the early morning and evening hours, guests can come and experience flowboarding, one of the fastest growing board sports, for private party or group bookings. Try your bodyboarding or surfing skills in this incredible, best of all, safe environment. The Tsunami is one experience that will never be the same twice! Tsunami will open summer 2016.
This will be the second new ride to open in the last two seasons at the park since 2008 under new management. Last year, the first new ride, The Rockin Ray, opened during the park’s 30th Anniversary and is a 2 person extreme water slide experience. The open slide, standing 39 feet 8 inches tall, rocks you from one side to the other, then half way back and shoots you out to a pool.
“We are excited to share our second new ride, Tsunami, this summer with all our Myrtle Waves fans” says Josh Henderson, new General Manager. “Our new website includes a video that illustrates the surfing experience of Tsunami firsthand!” The 2016 operating schedule for Myrtle Waves Water Park is May 7th through September 5th.
