RE: Celebrate the Season at the Official Myrtle Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and City of Myrtle Beach will host the city’s official tree lighting ceremony, Thursday, Dec. 12, from 5-7 p.m. This family-friendly event will take place in the outdoor courtyard of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center at 2101 N. Oak St. and will feature free photos with Santa, performances by the Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre and the Socastee Singers, and inflatables provided by Fun Warehouse.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at the event in a Myrtle Beach fire truck at 5 p.m. Hot chocolate and mini Bo-Berries will be provided by Bojangles. Representatives from Toys for Tots will be on-site to collect toy donations.
This event is free and open to the public. The community is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots.

Time: 5-7 p.m. Mayor Brenda Bethune and Young Miss Horry County Marley Grace Moore will count down the tree lighting at 6 p.m.
