Pure Compounding

On Thursday, March 14, 2019, I needed a compounded mouthwash prescribed by my dentist. I had previously gone to a local compounding pharmacy (1 mile away) for the same thing and was not at all happy with them or the mouthwash they made for me.

I decided to try Pure Compounding which is 12 miles away, each way, and am very happy I did.

Forrest Westley, PharmD., was very helpful, friendly and accommodating when I contacted her for information.

The other pharmacy said the order would be ready in 1 to 2 days after giving them the prescription.
My dentist's staff called in my prescription to Pure Compounding and Forrest got it ready the same day! That, in itself, is wonderful. My mouthwash was nicely flavored to make it very palatable, unlike the previous one and I was surprised and pleased.

Forrest is a very caring, dedicated person and I felt that she took care of me as if I were family. Very highly recommended. Pure Compounding is now my "official" pharmacy.

Pure Compounding is a wonderful pharmacy. Like another reviewer mentioned, I needed a medication for my small dog and the dose was so tiny that no other pharmacy was able to accurately fill the prescription. Pure Compounding had no trouble making the medicine for my little dog. It's a liquid and they made it in a chicken flavor, which my dog loves. I just squirt the dose in her bowl and she very happily licks it all up.

All of the people who work there are super friendly and very professional. They seem to go out of their way to make every interaction with them a pleasant one. I highly recommend them!

This is an absolutely phenomenal Pharmacy! They custom make and create medications that personally help the patient. They are extremely friendly, quick and efficient and extremely extremely knowledgeable about all the compounding products that they dispense. Their follow-up is phenomenal and I really enjoy the service that they provide. Also the cost of their medications is a fraction of what you would get at a traditional retail pharmacy. They also have amazing products for your pets which we get for our dog and she loves them.

I have a very small dog, so small that the veterinarian couldn't provide the medication my dog needed in such a small dose. I brought the prescription to this pharmacy and left to shop at another store. When I returned, they were backed up and I still had to wait. Comfortable chairs are provided in the front of the store and the reading materials were a little boring, but they were there.

The clerk called my name and gave me the medication and told me how to administer it to my dog. They accepted my Visa card and away I went. This was such a convenient store and service, I am happy they are so local.

I'd like to support a small local pharmacy, but when they won't file the insurance, just give you a receipt and you end up not getting reimbursed after a lot of hassle, they're not open on Saturdays which seems pretty incredible. Or Sundays. It's just going to be a lot more tempting for me to walk over to the local Walgreens near my house, where they will take my insurance and there won't be any hassle with trying to get reimbursed. And I can go over there on a Saturday or Sunday.
