  • According to the American Heart Association, about 800,000 people in the United States suffer a stroke each year. Quick action is vital for saving lives. We're proud to be part of HCA Healthcare — one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services with an average door-to-needle time of 33 minutes, faster than the national standard for stroke care. Door-to-needle is the time between a patient's arrival and treatment. Have you heard of B.E. F.A.S.T.? It's a handy acronym for recognizing stroke symptoms and taking action. Watch our video for details. Help spread the word and share this post because every second counts in stroke response! HCA Healthcare and the HCA Healthcare Foundation are proud to be national sponsors of the American Heart Association's Getting to the Heart of Stroke™ — an initiative focused on delivering community and professional education on stroke risk factors, projected through the lens of equitable health for all. • We proudly honor Military Appreciation Month. It's a time to pause and recognize the important role that military members have played throughout our country's history. This April, Grand Strand Health was proud to give back to these brave men and women by being a Table Sponsor at the Shields & Stripes Charity Gala. Shields and Stripes provides first line defenders the opportunity to heal visible and non-visible wounds, helping first responders and military veterans to live meaningful lives. Our very own veterans and first responders attended the event. We join our larger HCA Healthcare network in sending our deepest gratitude to our those who serve our nation with selfless courage and recognizing the unwavering dedication of the families who support them. 💙❤️ Happy #MilitaryAppreciationMonth! #PositiveImpact #HCAVeterans
