What are the General Rules of the Pier?

Do I need a Fishing License to fish on the Pier?

No, you do not need a fishing license to fish on Apache Pier. The pier falls under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Fish and Wildlife, which means that a fishing license is not required.

Do I need a Fishing License to fish on the Beach?

Can you Shark Fish on Apache Pier?

Shark fishing from the Apache Pier and any pier, beach, and shore is prohibited. At the time of recognition, fishermen must release sharks and any other dangerous marine animals.

How many fishing rods can I bring with me to fish?

You can bring two of your own fishing rods per paid fisherman. This means that if you are paying for pier fishing or have obtained a fishing permit, you are allowed to bring two fishing rods that you personally own.

If I'm not fishing, may I just walk on the Pier?

Absolutely! Feel free to take a walk on the Apache Pier, even if you're not there to fish. It's a great spot to appreciate the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, and you'll love taking a stroll with your loved ones amidst the refreshing sea breeze. Additionally, you can enjoy bird watching and observe various marine species in their natural habitats.

Where can I park and how much is parking?

Parking for Apache Pier visitors and fishermen is located near the pier entrance with additional parking located behind the Cabana. DIRECTIONS: From the main entrance, take the Main Trail the whole way to East Trail and make a Left, then Right on Beach Trail. Parking is $5.00 per vehicle.
